My past trip to Colorado was unreal this year.  I got to snowboard Vail Mountain, enough said. But while I was there, I saw these boots on a mom and daughter.  I went up to them while we were all in the coffee shop in the Breckenridge town and said I LOVE your boots, where did you find them? We had about a 7 minute conversation talking about how great they were.  Then I was on the hunt for them in all of the shops in the town…no shop had my size.  Long story short, I came home contacted Sorel Footwear, fabulous boots btw, in my opinion the new Uggs…Anyway I was sent a pair of the Joan of Arctic boot in Black. Tried them on and couldn’t take them off.  Then I wanted to show everyone a few looks I styled with the boots on. Enjoy!

LOOK 1: BUNNY MOUNTAIN

I styled Ang in a bright red sweater and a lovely blue pair of denim.  I was going for a look that you would be noticed in.  Who wants to blend in at the mountain lodge anyway? Then I paired these bright colors with a black Chanel bag and black scarf.  Perfect compliment to the black boots.  I just am in love with the fur at the top too! So adorable.

LOOK 2: FALLING SNOW

Here I styled Ang in a snowflake sweater. I just loved the color combo, it looks so fresh and festive.  I added a woven belt, a cute knitted hat and a brown suede bag.  My favorite part of this look is the knitted gray leggings with the Joan of Arctic Sorel Boots.  It’s just screams punctual. I love it and I hope you do too.

LOOK 3: MR. WHITE’S CHICK

The last look today, I styled Ang in the same leggings with a different combo on the top.  I went with a long sleeve plaid shirt, almost like a dress.  Perfect look for hanging out after the slopes at one of the taverns.  I paired the plaid shirt with a green purse belt for a pop of color.  Then I added some knitted mittens because they were just so darn cute.  And then to finish the look I added a tan scarf that plays with the color of the fur from the Sorel boots.

Now, go check out Sorel footwear and tell me your thoughts.  They are fabulous and a great fun way to make a statement, in the winter and mountains of course!

Top piece: Rush St. large horizontal Swarovski rock pendant $80-$85
I love this piece because it can go with any color on any day and look fabulous.  I love the combo of black and gold too.

Left piece: Rush St. large vertical Swarovski rock pendant $80-$85 & Rush St. medium vertical Swarovski rock pendant $60-$65
I chose to use both pieces and layer them. I wanted the clear stones to sparkle against one another. I think dramatic is the word here.

Right piece: Astor St. long weighted bead and chain necklace $80-$85
I just love this piece because its long and simple enough to make a statement.  Another everyday piece that is lovely and so versatile.

Bottom piece: Astor St. two-toned cluster bib necklace $60-$64
I had a hard time choosing a favorite, so I layered both color styles. I love the way the colors pop off the purple.

The Outfit: JUICY PLUM

The Boot: BC Footwear Rainbow is perfect for spring. My favorite part of the boot is the folded cuff and buckle detail.

If you like this boot or have something similar, try pairing it with colored denim such as green. It will make the boot color pop.  Then add a strong color like plum in a turtle-neck. A color like this against the green and brown has a dramatic feel to it. I also added a leather tie belt in a different shade of brown to mix it up, the one shown is from J. Crew.  Then go-ahead and pick a handful of your favorite bangles. Pile them up on your wrist over the sweater sleeve. An instant statement!  The boots are super comfortable and are also surprisingly cute with shorts and a pair of translucent tights for a completely different look.

Take a look at this beautiful boot, Samantha by Corso Como. It’s cut out leather design makes it great for spring and many seasons to come.  This riding boot is flat with a rounded toe and is beautifully designed.

THE LOOK: PLAID PERFECTION

Samantha, the boot, looks fabulous for spring.  It goes great with leggings and jeans and even skirts.  Here I styled Ang with a pair of dark denim, a long bright plaid shirt and a tank underneath.  To define her waist line I added a belt and loop-knotted it.  For some fun accessories I paired a satchel leather bag and a brown bangle that matches the boots perfectly.  The boots are Samantha by Corso Como.  If you purchase them in the month of March you will receive a $25 credit towards your next purchase.

THE LOOK: CRUISE CONTROL

These wedges look fabulous with dresses and shorts. I put Ang in them with a dress that flows.  Paired it with a necklace, a few bangles, gold hoop earrings and a gold clutch for some pizazz!

I am loving the Caryn heel by Corso Como these days, so I wanted to share an outfit idea with all of you.  The Caryn is an open-toe low heel that works great with cozy looks.  The suede bunched material and criss-cross design is what makes this shoe so cute.  Check out what I put together.

THE LOOK: YUMMY SWEATER

Take a pair of navy blue leggins and a long cable knit sweeter and pair it together.  Then add a long chain necklace that you love the detailing on for around your neck. For a pop of color, I went with a deep red.  I found a cute clutch that has a cylinder shape and a bangle for your wrist.  Then for your feet you can wear a low heel, such as the Caryn by Corso Como. Poof…Viola! You’ve got ‘the’ look!

Hi everyone! I’m so sorry I haven’t posted all week. I went to Florida for my best friend’s engagement weekend. It was a surprise! So I’m just now getting back into the swing of things. Thank you all for being patient.

Here is a look I created.  Get inspired!

A young lady named Simona from twitter sent out a tweet about, “how to created an outfit around a pair of shoes?” I took the pair of shoes she liked and created a fun social look for a night out. I hope you enjoy!

Take a pair of tights, they can be textured or plain, the one here have textured stripes.  I added a sequence dress/skirt to add a punch of texture.  To bring in a comfortable feel I added a nice grey sweatshirt to the look.  I wanted it to have a casual but dressy night feel.  Then I added a brown bag, which I chose because there are some gold and brown tones from the sequence dress. Then I added a fun ring and cat mask necklace. The fabulous shoes that are shown are from Urban Outfitters and I must say, I love them too!  Thanks for the inspiration Simona, I hope you can re-create this!
